“One technology which potentially can use various
types
of waste,
produce electricity and hydrogen
without emitting dioxin, furan and mercury,
is
plasma arc technology.
Municipalities can install
a
plasma arc facility which will eliminate land filling…"

PlasmaFuel™ and TGE PlasmaFuel™ are our trademarked names for the sustainable, renewable energy produced by transforming waste liabilities into energy assets. TransGreen Energy is building and modeling proprietary systems that allow this solution to be replicated with low capital cost and short project schedule.
Waste is transformed on a molecular level
into renewable
energy, beneficial commodities and building materials.
TransGreen Energy supports and encourages "RECYCLE, REUSE, REDUCE" as first and primary way to cope with waste issues on our planet. However, the question remains: "What shall we do with the waste that is not recycled or reused?" By using a superheated, oxygen starved environment, waste is actually transformed and converted into useful products. It is not buried to leach into the groundwater as with landfills.
State & National Problems
Energy
- Our nation and our communities need a source of clean renewable energy.
- Coal fired electricity is not a viable option due to costs and environmental concerns.
|
TGE PlasmaFuel™
Solution
- TGE transforms industrial by-products and non-recycled, discarded consumer goods into clean renewable energy, beneficial commodities and building materials.
- Our unique solution matrix results in cost effective production of clean liquid fuels and gaseous fuels.
|
Environment
- We must solve the environmental issues associated with landfills and incineration.
|
- By transforming waste into energy, instead of contributing to landfills, we save the environment from greenhouse gasses and toxic leaching into the groundwater.
- Our cutting edge, patented, proprietary closed-loop system protects the environment.
|
Economy
- We cannot keep sending American jobs and money out of the country as we buy foreign oil.
- We need economic development to recover from our deepening financial crisis from local levels to international levels.
|
- TGE creates GreenCollar™ jobs right here in our communities in the USA.
- in addition to the jobs building and running the facility, there are jobs in the greenhouse, TGE learning center, and green warehouse that are included in our projects.
- We contribute to economic development in the local area of our facilities by stimulating spin off businesses.

GreenEnergy™ In Action
Commercial applications of Westinghouse Plasma Corporation’s (WPC) plasma arc technology have been in operation since 2002. Japan’s Hitachi Metals, Ltd. uses WPC technology in two Japanese facilities that transform municipal solid waste (MSW), auto shredder residue (ASR) and sewage sludge into steam and electricity.
The Japanese facilities have met all Japanese environmental standards which are similar or more stringent than North American standards.

Utashinai plasma technology facility processes
up to 280 tpd of MSW and auto shredder
residue to produce electricity. |

Mihama-Mikata plasma technology WTE
facility processes 20 tpd of MSW and 4 tpd sewage sludge to produce steam. |
Other Applications of WPC plasma technology
WPC plasma torches have been in operation for over 20 years and have over 500,000 hours of operation worldwide.
Example projects are:
- General Motors plant in Defiance Ohio commissioned a plasma cupola for recycling of engine
blocks in 1987.
- Kinuura, Japan commissioned waste to energy ash vitrification in 1995.
- Geneva Steel in Provo Utah commissioned a plasma cupola for supplemental hot metal
production in 1996.
- Alcan in Jonquiere Quebec commissioned an aluminum dross recovery project in 1992.
